Troop of Foxes hosts speed dating events in Calgary and Edmonton for interesting, engaging and eligible singles. The age of attendees depends on the event.
What can I expect?
We host our events at Red Star, a pub located in downtown Edmonton. When you arrive at the registration table we’ll ask for your identification. We’ll give you your drink ticket, let you get some appetizers, explain the format, and then the speed dating will begin.
When should I arrive?
On time! Because you will be meeting a lot of people according to a synchronized schedule, please be punctual. Latecomers will be difficult to accommodate and we cannot guarantee you will have the expected experience.
How many dates will I go on?
You will have one-on-one dates with at least eight other people. Each date is five minutes. Speed daters gets a dating card and marks if he or she would like to meet each date again. We’ll tally these cards at the end of the night and e-mail you the next day with your matches. If you and a date both said yes, you’d like to meet again, you’ll receive each other’s contact info.
And there’s a social?
Yes! There will be appetizers and door prizes, followed by a social at the end of the night. We’re pretty sure you’ll have a good time.
Where is it?
In Edmonton, we speed date at the Red Star Pub (10534 Jasper Ave, next to the Bower). Here’s what it looks like inside:
What should I wear?
Dress how you would if you were going on a first date at a pub.
Anything else I should know?
Here’s the fine print (what, did you think we wouldn’t have any?) You will meet a number of people at this event, some of whom will be complete strangers. What happens after this event concludes is entirely up to you. Please use your judgment and common sense in proceeding — we take no responsibility for broken hearts.
